Medical & Recreational Cannabis in Ohio
Your Questions Answered: FAQs for ROAM Dispensary
At ROAM Dispensary, we’re committed to ensuring you have all the information you need about accessing cannabis in Ohio. Below is a concise, easy-to-follow guide that addresses common questions from both medical patients and recreational consumers.
Where can I purchase cannabis in Ohio?
Whether you’re a patient or an adult consumer, you can purchase cannabis at any state‑licensed facility – including all ROAM Dispensary locations. Our medical program serves those with qualifying conditions, and our recreational program (NOW AVAILABLE) welcomes adults aged 21 and over.
What do I need to bring when visiting ROAM Dispensary?
You must present your current and valid, government-issued photo ID to enter the dispensary. If you are a medical patient, the address on your photo ID must match the residential address on your medical card. Only Ohio medical cards may be honored at this time, but we are hoping Ohio will change that soon.
Is recreational cannabis available in Ohio?
Yes! Recreational cannabis is now legal for adults 21 and older. With the new regulations in place currently, qualified recreational consumers can purchase cannabis products at state‑licensed dispensaries under clearly defined possession and cultivation limits.
Does ROAM Dispensary accept credit or debit card payments?
Due to federal banking restrictions, we are unable to process credit or debit card transactions. We accept cash, and each of our locations is equipped with an ATM for your convenience. As a Dutchie partner, we also support Dutchie pay on our website and on our in-store kiosks.
How do I become a medical cannabis patient in Ohio?
Start by scheduling an appointment with a state‑certified physician. During your consultation, your doctor will assess whether you meet Ohio’s established qualifying criteria. If you qualify, you’ll be guided through the process to obtain your Ohio Medical Cannabis Card. (For detailed instructions, please refer to our guide on obtaining your medical card.)
What are the “Qualifying Conditions” for Ohio medical cannabis?
A licensed Ohio physician must confirm that you suffer from one of the approved conditions – such as chronic pain, epilepsy, glaucoma, cancer, and others defined by state guidelines. This certification is a prerequisite for receiving your medical card. (Learn more about qualifying conditions in our full guide)
